IP Australia Tackles TM Pirates

IP Australia is trialling a process designed to protect trade mark owners and consumers from counterfeiters.

The plan is to enable trade mark owners to create a “Smart Trade Mark” which will be linked to their registrations allowing products to be authenticated online via a “Trust Badge”.
